En effet, ce village est \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cart de tous les grands axes. Il compte aujourd\u2019hui moins de 500 habitants.\u00a0La commune se situe \u00e0 22 km \u00e0 l&rsquo;ouest de Neufch\u00e2teau (pr\u00e8s de <a href=\"https:\/\/voyages-en-france.fr\/index.php\/2017\/12\/18\/domremy-ville-natale-de-sainte-jeanne-darc\/\">Domr\u00e9my<\/a> &#8211; village natal de Jeanne d&rsquo;Arc). Jusqu&rsquo;en 1981, 50 000 m3 de terre sont retir\u00e9s du monument, soit 600 000 brouettes. Bien qu&rsquo;exceptionnellement situ\u00e9 hors d&rsquo;une capitale, il fait partie des plus vastes amphith\u00e9\u00e2tres du monde romain.<\/p>\n<p>Sa caract\u00e9ristique principale est une cavea incompl\u00e8te : en effet, seule l&rsquo;imma cavea (partie inf\u00e9rieure des gradins) a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue, ce qui lui vaut d&rsquo;avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 class\u00e9e dans la cat\u00e9gorie des semi-amphith\u00e9\u00e2tres.
